Caliber is a coming 6yo, 17.1hh, Percheron/TB cross. As sweet as he is stunning, Caliber is a once in a lifetime horse, and has the personality everyone wants. He’s easily a barn favorite and loves attention and being loved on. We have taken him on miles and miles of trails, as well as paper chases and hunter paces. He takes everything in stride, and always has the same easy going personality, nothing workes up this big gentle boy.
In the ring, Caliber has three easy gaites, he’s super simple for anyone to ride and very forgiving with amateur’s. His gaites are easy to ride, and extremely comfortable. Caliber could excel in any direction. He’s fancy enough to be a dressage horse, and brave enough for a fox hunter. We can’t say enough good things about this boy. He’s been started over small jumps, and doing amazing so far, he’s super athletic for his size, and just keeps getting better. He’s cute and tucks his knees over big jumps, and the small jumps are no match for him.
On the trail, he’s reliable and steady. You can pack beginners on him with no worry. He loves water and will cross anything you put in front of him. He’s a true trail master, and takes care of his rider every time. He will pop over logs, and cross streams no problem. We never have to worry with this guy.
Under harness, most of his miles are in pairs, and he enjoys being out with his friends. He is used to farm machinery, and is traffic safe. He knows his job, and does it well.
This handsome boy is certain to turn heads anywhere you take him. We have done a lot of desensitization work with this boy, and nothing phases him. From tarps, to smoke, to heavy equipment, and scary traffic, he’s done it all. He truly is a superstar, and his type of brain is rare to find. We ensure a solid foundation on all our young horses, and want the best possible outcome for them and their riders.
