Diamond Boy is a 6 year old Dutch Harness gelding standing 16.3 hands high. Diamond is a sensible, sporty horse, that has all the makings of a future star. Diamond has limitless scope in the jump chute, wonderfully smooth and balanced gaits under saddle, and an attitude that makes training a pleasant experience for all.
In the ring, Diamond is a straightforward horse to ride. He prefers a rider who has good balance and confidence in the saddle, but will always do his best to work with the person on his back. Diamond has 3 lovely easy to sit gaits, with a really balanced and rhythmic canter. He easily goes in a frame and uses himself correctly. This guy has all the necessary tools to move up the levels in the dressage ring! Diamond has also been started over fences as well and is a quick learner with tons of scope. Although he is green over fences, he is honest, straightforward, and lacks no talent.
Off property, Diamond is happy to be on the trails and out exploring. He is a great choice for riders who enjoy hunter paces as he is happy taking it slow and seeing the sights, or picking up the pace and jumping all the coupes and obstacles along the way. On the trails, Diamond will lead, follow, or ride in the middle of the pack. He has gone swimming, crossed streams, gone over bridges, and through tunnels.
Diamond Boy is as good as they get under harness. He is mannerly, focused, and very willing. He’s been driven on and off the road. He enjoys the exercise and fun of it.
In the barn, Diamond is friendly and enjoys being around people. He stands well to be groomed, tacked, and clipped. He is used to dogs, children, and other farm animals running around. He never gets worked up. Diamond enjoys living outside, but has no bad habits when stalled either. When out, he lives in a mixed herd of mares and geldings and gets along well with everyone.
Diamond is a good looking, talented, and teachable gelding. We have all greatly enjoyed riding him in dressage lessons, working with him on the ground, and taking him on trail rides and hunter paces. Diamond has a great brain and a willing attitude. He genuinely enjoys learning new things and doing good for his rider. Someone will be very pleased with this one.
