"Landmari” - SOLD
16.3 hands : 4 year old : American Warmblood : Gelding
Landmari is a 4 year old American Warmblood gelding standing 16.3 hands high. This youngster is full of quality, personality, and talent. He could easily be an FEI level horse with the right rider, yet still has the right brain to be successful with an amateur or junior working with a trainer. Mari has been easily schooling training level, and has the scope for much higher. He is currently doing first level dressage, and will be ready for second level tests in no time. Mari is a brave and honest jumper, a correct and balanced mover on the flat, and overall one of the favorites in the barn due to his endearing personality and lovable nature.
In the ring, Mari is working in a dressage based flat program, focusing currently on basic lateral work, riding on the outside rein, and learning to collect and extend his gaits. He has a phenomenal canter, which with more fitness and age will easily welcome collection, pirouettes, etc. We have begun lightly schooling flying changes, counter canter, and travers. Over fences, Mari has shown nothing but honesty and scope. He is schooling small courses, and has jumped up to 1.10 singles/lines with scope for more. At 4 years old he is still green in the ring, but always tries his best for his rider and thrives in an educational environment. This horse is always eager to learn and step up his game.
Outside of the ring, Mari enjoys adventuring on the trails and hunter paces. He loves water, and will splash and play as long as you’ll let him. We try to get our youngsters out and about as much as possible, letting them see the world and explore new places and things. On the XC field, Mari is a barn favorite. He very much so enjoys being out there, and this is truly what makes him shine. He is brave, careful, and honest. He has jumped in and out of water, coupes, logs, brush, keyholes, and various other fences up to training level.
In the barn is where Landmari is the biggest hit. This big guy is all personality! He will play with your hair, zippers, shoes, and anything else you will let him get his mouth on. Mari thinks he is a person and would much rather join the humans having lunch at the picnic table, than to be grazing in the pasture with his buddies. He has been known to sneak bites of the girls lunches, steal brushes and grooming tools, and also to be the biggest snuggle bug in the barn. He is such a character and always lights up the room. He is a good boy to be groomed, bathed, tacked, and clipped. Mari is happy living inside or out, and is an easy keeper.
Landmari is 100% sound, with a clean vetting and rads available to serious buyers. He loads, clips, ties, bathes, and stands for the farrier. Priced at $20,000. Inquires may phone 717-917-7213
