"Liam” - For Sale

15.1 hands : 6 year old : Perch/Morgan : Gelding

Liam (aka Meatball) is a super cute Percheron/Morgan cross. He is a handsome little dude with a lot of potential and good movement. This boy is a total tank -- super thick chunky guy. Liam is the type of horse that needs someone who’s going to take the time to figure him out. We want him to go to the best possible home!

 

Liam prefers the trail job which is what we are listing him for. He’s a solid and fun ride on the trails, and it’s where all of his experience is. He will happily walk, trot, canter, and pop over logs or small fences. He always has a happy attitude on the trail and loves going out with his person. He has gone through creeks and right into the river no questions asked. He will ride in the front or the back of the group. He’s not one to get upset if another horse rides to close, and seems to get along with all the other horses. 

 

In the barn, Liam is easy to handle and respectful. He is good in his stall, and goes out with a mixed herd. Liam is well behaved for the dentist and the farrier. He stands to groom, and seems to like the attention. Once he bonds with someone I’m sure more of his personality will bloom and he’ll turn into the puppy dog type. As of now, he’s on the more reserved side. He’s always respectful on the ground, he knows how to lunge, and is easy to load into the trailer.

 

Liam is best suited for someone with experience as he is sensitive and likes a quiet balanced rider. He would also make a super fun (and affordable) project for a professional who wants to put some time into him. He needs someone who is confident, and won’t get upset with him. I would continue to bring him along myself, but we just don’t click. He does not have a mean bone in his body and just needs more miles and an understanding person to bond with. 

 

Liam was primarily started to drive as a 3yo, and has lots of experience under harness. He will drive single or double, and is traffic safe. We would prefer to sell him as a riding horse, as he does have lots of potential under saddle. 

 

Liam is UTD on shots deworming coggins and dentist. He’s priced accordingly at $7,500 as he is green under saddle, and has lots more to learn. We want the perfect home for this little guy!
