Meet Steele Reserve – a 4-year-old, dappled steel grey, 17hh Percheron cross gelding. In person, this guy is absolutely breathtaking. His quiet presence and demeanor have captured everyone’s heart, and he is absolutely a barn favorite. This guy is as safe as they come. Watch his video! We’ve done more “scary” stuff with this guy than any other horse we’ve had — crack a bullwhip off him, throw a rope off him, set off smoke bombs underneath him, put complete beginners on the trail — you can even shoot off this one without him blinking an eye! You’d never guess he’s only four years old based on his demeanor and unfaltering confidence.

 

He has three nice gaits both ways in the ring and is as close to dummy-proof as they come. If you want a solid guy in your barn, don’t miss out on this one. He has an old soul and a brain you can’t pay enough money for.

 

In the ring, Steele is comfortable and straightforward. He is on the heavier side; however, he is not dead to the leg and will canter off from the walk! He is balanced both ways and has a rocking horse canter to die for. He’s safe, smooth, and so fun to ride!

 

He’s also broke to drive and has handled semi-trucks coming at him from both directions without batting an eye. This guy would be phenomenal for any discipline that requires a safe mind — vaulting, police work, jousting, fairs, carriage rides — you name it. Or, he’d be the perfect partner for someone who just wants to hack out on a sturdy, safe mount. He is phenomenal in every way, and we can’t say enough good things about him.

 

On the ground, this big, handsome boy is easy to handle and an absolute sweetheart. The kids can get him out of the stall, clip him to the cross-ties, and groom him up — he’ll stand like a saint for it all. He behaves for the farrier with no need for stocks or anything extra. He is worth his weight in gold and always comes out of his stall the same steady horse.

 

He’s joined in on all the barn parties and is absolutely the horse to pull out for guests to pet, groom, hang out with, or hop on for fun. We want the best home for this special boy!
