Magic School Bus is a 15 year old paint gelding standing 15.3 hands high. Magic is the ultimate eventing and jumper school master! We have never had a more reliable, educated, and experienced horse in the barn. Magic has spent his life teaching young riders, if there was one we could keep forever - it would be him! However it is time to find Magic the best forever home where he can continue to do what he loves best - giving riders confidence and teaching them the ropes. He is the perfect partner to a young rider looking for a safe and experienced, yet fun and forward thinking horse to bring them along.
In the ring, Magic has done everything from walk trot lessons to jumping 1.10 courses. On the flat, Magic is competent schooling second level dressage, but will just as happily teach young riders how to post and steer. He does have his own motor, so a rider who enjoys a kick and go type would be best suited for him. Over fences, Magic will literally jump anything you put in front of him without question. If you can steer him in the vicinity of the jump, he will safely get you over it without question. Long spots, chips, no spot? No problem. He will always get you to the other side. Don’t let his age fool you, he still loves to work and has tons of years left in him to continue being the wonderful teacher that he is.
Off property, Magic is a seasoned pro. He has been all over to shows, clinics, lessons, hunter paces, trail rides, and camping trips. He will cross any obstacle, swim in any lake, and jump any fence you point him at. He is not worked up in the excitement of horse shows, and knows when it’s time to work and compete.
In the barn, Magic is a barn favorite. He enjoys the company of people and horses, and is happy living inside or out. He gets turned out in a mixed herd of mares and geldings, and does well when living out. He has no vices in the barn, and is mannerly in his stall and on the cross ties.
