Bailey is a 4 year old Percheron/Thoroughbred cross. This handsome gelding stands right around 16.2-3 hands high. As sweet as he is smart, Bailey has the personality everyone wants. He is easily a favorite, loves attention, and being loved on. We have taken him on miles of trails as well as paper chases and hunter paces. He takes everything in stride and always has the same easy going personality.
In the ring, Bailey has been started with flat work and is coming along well. He gets better each ride while learning to balance and carry himself well. We do not overwork the young horses. He still has more to learn, however, he is easygoing, teachable, and intelligent. Bailey could excel in any direction. He has lovely long legs and a ground covering stride. We can’t say enough good things about this boy. He has been started over small jumps and is super brave with everything we throw at him.
Most of his miles are on the trails. He is reliable and steady. He loves water and will cross anything you put in front of him. Bailey a trail master and takes care of his rider every time. We can throw anyone on him. He will pop over logs, cross streams, ditches, rocks, roots, and more. We’ve never gotten a buck, rear, or kick from him. Bailey will go in the front and bravely lead the pack, or he will mosey along happily in the back. We never have to worry with this guy.
Bailey has no bad barn habits and always stands like a statue on the ties. He will hang out all day long to be groomed and tacked up. He’s easy to bridle and puts his head down for the bit. He’s good for the farrier and picks up all four feet easily. Bailey is quiet in his stall and never causes trouble. We can turn him out with other mares and geldings, and he gets along with everyone.
Bailey has been started under harness. Most of his miles are in pairs, and he enjoys being out with his friends. He is used to farm machinery and is traffic safe. He knows his job and does it well. This handsome boy is certain to turn heads anywhere you take him.
We have done a lot of desensitization work with this guy, and not much phases him anymore. From tarps, to smoke, to heavy equipment, and scary traffic, he’s done it all. He truly is a superstar, and his type of brain is rare to find. We ensure a solid foundation on all our young horses and want the best possible outcome for them and their riders. Bailey has not disappointed us one time, and he’s guaranteed to make someone very happy.
Bailey does need to have a molar tooth extracted in 3 to 6 months, so his price reflects this.
Bailey is UTD on shots, deworming, farrier and teeth. He is one in a million and worth his weight in gold.
