Cruzer is a 3 and a half year old Dutch Harness gelding standing 16.3 hands high and growing! This big guy is yet another extremely talented and easygoing gelding we are proud to say we have raised from a weanling. Cruzer has the movement and athleticism to move up the levels as a dressage or eventing horse, but is also gentle and quiet enough to safely carry guests and children on trail rides. The sky is the limit with this sweet gelding, he has the brains and talent to go any direction successfully!
In the ring, Cruzer is well balanced and extremely comfortable to ride. You would never guess his age from how well he goes on the flat. He is the perfect mix of whoa and go, and will go around on the bit or on the buckle. He is a very simple horse to ride, and is happy to do his job with almost any level rider aboard. Cruzer stands to mount, has fantastic transitions, and is overall a pleasure to ride. Cruzer has been started very lightly over some small fences and has been cross country schooling to get out and see new things. He is more than willing and brave to any fence and didn’t think twice about any water, logs, ditches, and fences out in the field!
Off property, Cruzer is always on his best behavior and is used to being hauled different places to ride. Absolutely anyone can ride him on the trails, he is calm, quiet, and safe. He is happy playing in the water, crossing streams, bridges, roads, and everything in between. There isn’t a place Cruzer won’t go, and he will always have the best attitude! Cruzer has also been brought along to some shows just to school and see the environment. He was relaxed and overall happy to be there seeing new things.
In the barn, Cruzer is a total love bug. He enjoys attention and can easily be handled by the children. He stands to be groomed, tacked, clipped, and bathed. Cruzer is happy living outside in a mixed herd of mares and geldings, and is also a gentleman in his stall. He is easy to catch, and enjoys spending time with his people.
Under harness, Cruzer is very quiet and simple for his age. He has been hitched to the jog cart and is safe around the farm and in traffic.
Cruzer has had a super solid foundation in the arena, and tons of off property experience which will make for a seamless transition into any discipline. He is non reactive, not spooky, and has an old soul. Take him in the show ring or out on the trails, wherever he goes he will not disappoint! Located in Gap, Pennsylvania. Priced at $18,000.
