“Huckleberry” - SOLD

15.0-1 hands : 5 year old : Perch/Morgan X : Gelding

Huckleberry (aka Huck) is a 5yo, Perch/Morgan X gelding standing a sturdy 15-15.1 hands high. This guy could go any direction and is going to make someone very happy. He’s a nice sturdy build while still having a ton of athleticism. He’s playful and has a nice disposition. On the ground he's in your pocket and very lovable.

Under harness, Huck has most his miles and  he is very well broke to drive. You can hitch him single or double. He knows his job, and he likes doing it. This guy would be a nice combined driving prospect with his fearless attitude and good work ethic. He’s also happy to go out for a leisurely drive and genuinely enjoys being out to see the sights.

Under saddle, Huck has been walk, trot, cantering and is coming along nicely. We have been focusing on the basics, and he’s been soft and responsive. He has nice movement and is a comfortable ride.  He tries his hardest to please and wants to learn. He's intelligent and picks up on things quickly. He hasn't been pushed to hard for his age and is at the point you could really make him into the ride you like.  He has his own motor when asked or he can mosey around and walk on a loose rein. He would do best with someone with some young horse experience to continue bringing him along. He does, however, have the right brain and attitude to be a beginner type ride with more training. He’s smart and learns quickly. This guy is every trainer’s dream.

On the trail, Huck is very confident. He is comfortable, reliable, and easy. He’s a fun ride to take out and will go into the water or pop over a log. He’s well behaved in a group, and he doesn’t mind if another horse rides too close. This guy would be fun for fox hunting or to take on paper chases.

In the barn, Huck has no bad stall habits, and he is always a pleasure to be around. He has good ground manners and is easy to work around. He picks up his feet easily and stands to groom and tack up. He can go out in a mixed herd and has a cute playful personality towards other horses. He’s not one to cause drama in the field and is all-around easygoing.

This is a really great young horse who will be simple to finish your way. He smart, comfortable, brave, and fun. Athletic enough to move up the levels in various disciplines.

Huck is UTD on shots, deworming, coggins, farrier, and dentist.

He is available to purchase for $10,000.
