Newton (aka Newt) is a 7yo, Friesian/Morgan X gelding. This boy stands right around 15-15.1hh and is built nicely. He has the best features from both breeds. He has a puppy dog personality on the ground and loves people. This guy is a great young prospect and has a lot going for him.
In the ring, Newt has been started wtc and is coming along well. He is a solid citizen and has a lot of potential. This boy doesn’t have a mean bone in his body and has no buck rear or kick. He is smart, and aware of his surroundings, and he sometimes just needs some extra reassurance. We’ve mainly been doing the basics with him and letting him take his time. This gorgeous boy has comfortable gaits and lovely movement. He’s more of a push ride however he is responsive and moves out when he’s asked. He’s going to be really nice with a little more time put into him. He is currently best suited for someone with young horse experience but has potential for any level rider in the future.
Under harness, Newton has most his miles and he is very well broke to drive. You can hitch him single or double, and to various different equipment. He’s happy to go out for a leisurely drive, and he enjoys being out to see the sights. He will work hard and pick up when asked, and he would make a nice combined driving prospect. He’s traffic safe and always down for an adventure.
On the trail, Newton is comfortable, reliable, and easy. He’s a fun ride to take out and will go into the water or pop over a log. He’s well behaved in a group, and he doesn’t mind if another horse rides too close. This guy would be fun for fox hunting or to take on paper chases.
In the barn, Newton has the sweetest personality and wants to be best friends with everyone. He has no bad stall habits and he’s easy to work around. He stands to groom and tack, and he’s behaved for the farrier and dentist. This guy has a total lovebug personality that will continue to bloom once he has his own person to bond with. He can go out in a mixed group and normally keeps to himself. He’s never one to start drama in the field. He’s become a barn favorite quickly, and we’ll all be sad to see him go.
Newton is UTD on shots, deworming, farrier, coggins, and dentist.
