Romeo is a 13.2-3 hand, 16 year old, registered Welsh Pony. This guy has exceptional bloodlines and is put together beautifully. He has quality movement. He is educated, and he has show experience. This boy is looking for his new home at no fault of his own. He has stolen the hearts of many lesson students and taught the ropes to many different riders.
Romeo has been a part of a lesson and therapeutic program for the past 10 years. He has taken many kids to shows and has done his fair share of beginner lead line lessons. He has had 5 star care at a 5 star barn and it shows. We want nothing less for this special pony.
In the show ring, Romeo has experience doing mainly the hunters. He’s shown at the Ridge, Colonial Classic, and short stirrup club classics at Swan Lake. He’s shown from 2’-2’6 and always jumps a 10. He’s as honest to the jump as they come, and always gets his rider safely to the other side. He has a USHJA card, and a lifetime USEF number. This guy loves showing and always performs his very best off property.
This pony is educated on the flat and knows his job. He has a nice wtc both ways, a solid lead change, and is overall more of a push ride. He will go nicely on a loose rein or frame up when asked. He has a great stop, and is overall a consistent, balanced ride. He’s the perfect size and sturdy enough that a trainer can get on and school if needed. He will do the beginner lead line lessons, however he performs best with a confident brave little rider if going through a course. This pony knows his stuff and has lots of life to give. He would excel in a show home that wants something finished and ready to go. He requires no maintenance. He’s an easy keeper, and he goes out in a mixed herd.
Romeo has been on many trail rides, and he will go into the water and pop over a log. He’s an exceptional guy with a good brain on his shoulders. This pony has been exposed to a lot of different things and is desensitized to just about everything. He is traffic safe and reliable. His only vices are he can have a pony attitude on the ground, and can be difficult to load unless another horse is on the trailer first. No one’s perfect, and the flaws he has are very manageable and can be worked on. This pony is worth his weight in gold and an absolute steal for the price he’s being listed at. If you want a solid show pony without breaking the bank don’t pass this one up!
