Meet ✨Beau!✨
This handsome hunk of a gelding is a bay roan, four-year-old Brabant/QHx, standing right around 16.2–3 hands high. More fondly known around the barn as Beau Beau! If you’re looking for a sturdy, safe-minded guy, look no further. Beau’s got all the curves and substance without the dinner plate feet! His size and quiet demeanor make him suitable for a variety of riders. In person, this boy is truly breathtaking with his pretty roan coloring, hair for days, and lovable personality. Beau has hands-down been a favorite—he’s easy to get along with, incredibly sensible, and a serious trail master! He’s a point-and-go ride with no nonsense necessary. Despite his chunkier size, he’s even been very athletic over jumps! There’s nothing Beau can’t do. He rides Western, English, bareback, and you can even ride him bridleless!
In the ring, Beau has had the best foundation put on him. Brought along with care and gentleness, his confidence shows every time you swing a leg over. It’s rare a four-year-old just “gets it,” but he truly does. He rides better than most horses twice his age! He neck reins, direct reins, and is so in tune with his rider that he’ll simply move off leg and stop off seat—no reins needed! He’s so comfortable you can easily ride all three gaits bareback and swing a tarp off him at the same time. He is not overly sensitive and adjusts to the level of his rider, making him fun for more experienced riders to play with buttons while still being safe enough to pack around a husband or amateurs. He is incredibly smart and intuitive for his age. He tends to be more of a push ride; however, he’s happy to pick up and go when asked, and he has nice self-carriage. Or, if the job is to mosey around the ring all day on a loose rein packing anyone along, he’s happy to oblige. This gelding has a great handle on him, and he is one we are proud to present. His nonchalant, unbothered personality and quiet way of going give everyone who rides him a sense of confidence and always leave a smile!
On the trail, Beau is happy to pack along anyone and everyone! If you’re looking for that solid husband horse—a true trail master—here’s your guy. He is sure-footed, sturdy, and careful. You can drop the reins and he’ll do the rest. He’s a steady and brave leader when needed or just as happy to follow along. This boy is never in a hurry and never gets worked up. He’s one you can sit back and enjoy—crack a beer on, play music off him—you name it, you can do it. He’ll be the first to swim in the river, cross creeks and bridges, bushwhack through windy trails, or go for a lope in the field—he does it all. He’ll carefully step over logs or canter at them and give you a cute jump! He’d make an ideal candidate for fox hunting with how comfortable and levelheaded he is. Whatever direction Beau is taken in, we are certain he will be a star.
In the barn, Beau has good manners and is respectful in every situation. He has zero vices in the stall or in turnout. He gets along with everyone and minds his business. He tends to have more of a stoic personality until he gets to know you. He’s one that will truly thrive and bond with his person—a real ride-or-die type of partner. He’s sweet, gentle, and has been an absolute champ for everything we’ve thrown at him. He is traffic-safe and sound, loads on and off the trailer with no hesitation, acts the same off-property, and is the same horse every time you pull him out. He’s an absolute pleasure to have in the barn and one you look forward to seeing every day. Whoever gets Beau will be the luckiest person in the world—we want only the best for this phenomenal boy.
