Bentley is a 5 year old Friesian Sport Horse (Friesian/Morgan) gelding standing 16.3 hands high. Everyone in the barn absolutely adores this sweet guy! Everything about Bentley is likable in the arena, out on the trails, in the barn. He is just a pleasure to be around. Bentley has done a little bit of everything and will be a breeze to finish off in whatever discipline you choose! Aside from being a brave jumper, and a dream to hack, Bentley has done a lot of prep work for mounted patrol. He has a great brain and an unbeatable attitude no matter what is being asked of him.
In the ring, Bentley is simple, easygoing, and always willing to learn. He has a smooth and steady walk, trot, and canter. Bentley will happily go In a frame or on a loose rein. He has no desire to go anywhere fast, yet is still willing to move forward when asked. He is the perfect balance of whoa and go, and has the best brakes around. Bentley has extremely comfortable gaits, with a sitting trot so smooth you could ride it backwards. Bentley has been started over fences, and is as brave and honest as you could ever ask for. He has easily schooled up to 3’ with scope for more.
Off property, Bentley is a dream. He enjoys being out on the trails and is always a trustworthy partner. Bentley will lead, follow, or ride alone, and will always help lead the youngsters into water or past scary objects. Bentley is safe and gentle enough for any level rider on the trails. We have also taken Bentley on many hunter paces and paper chases. He is brave, honest, and overall a blast to hack out.
In the barn, Bentley is a favorite! He’s the first one to the gate and absolutely adores people. He is mannerly, gentle, and sweet with everyone in the barn. He is used to dogs, kids, and all sorts of excitement going on and he doesn’t bat an eye. Bentley is happy living inside or out, and is turned out in a mixed herd of mares and geldings.
Under harness, Bentley is educated and simple. He stands to hitch and unhitch, and listens well to all voice commands. Bentley has been driven on the farm, in heavy traffic, and into town. He will cross water, bridges, tunnels, and everything in between.
Bentley is a horse the whole family can enjoy. He can easily have some buttons installed to move up the levels, he can be the guy to take your husband out on the trails, or both! Bentley is big boned and can easily carry any size rider, yet is still athletic enough to hit the show ring or hunt field.
