This pretty tri-colored boy is a 6-year-old Paint/QH gelding, standing right around 15.2–15.3hh. Cherokee has the best markings and all the flash you can ask for with his four white legs, cute star, and paint markings. He has a sweet face with a kind demeanor, and he’s extremely comfortable to ride! 🩵
Cherokee has been on miles of trails, and he’s always game to go out on an adventure! He’s packed all levels of riders on the trail, from unbalanced beginners to experienced riders, and one thing they’ve all had in common is coming back with a smile! He’s genuinely a nice, relaxing horse to take out, and his favorite speed is slow. While he’s happy to mosey along and walk on the buckle all day long, he will pick up and give you the best trot and canter when asked! He’s easy to ride, straightforward, and his canter is slow, balanced, and simply fun! He’s been through bridges, creeks, swimming in the river, and around all the things a busy trail throws at you! He’s the kind of guy you can take out and crack a cold one on, and he’ll take care of the rest. He always gets his riders home safely, and he’s brave in every situation.🤩
In the arena, Cherokee is light through the hand and easygoing—and he likes his rider to be the same. He will turn on his buttons with a more experienced rider and easily side-passes, leg yields, does walk-to-canter transitions, and just about anything else you ask of him! He’s easily adjustable and will go with connection or on a loose rein, and he can even do a sliding stop. He’s also happy to walk around slowly, and he’ll pack the beginners and kids, never going faster than he’s asked. He’s sensible, not spooky, and has talent in all disciplines! He’s started over jumps both in the ring and cross-country, and he’s showing lots of promise and scope! He has naturally cute form, tucks his knees nicely, and he’s very honest. He has the perfect slow canter, and he never gets speedy or quick to the jumps. He thoroughly seems to enjoy himself cross-country jumping! Cherokee has been a blast to ride and have in the barn in every way.🔥
On the ground, Cherokee is safe to work around, and he has a chill personality. He’s never one to get pushy or rude; even when it comes to taking a treat, he’s polite and respectful! He stands on the ties to groom, bathe, and tack up, and he’s a total gentleman for the farrier, vet, and dentist. He gets turned out with mares and geldings, and he’s not a very dominant one in the field. He loads and trailers quietly and acts the same off property as he does at home.
