“Loki” - SOLD
15.3 hands : 4 year old : Friesian Sport Horse : Gelding
Loki is a 4 year old Friesian/Morgan gelding standing 15.3 hands high. There is absolutely nothing that we don’t love about this horse. He has an adorably sweet and kind personality and has the best attitude around. In the saddle, there isn’t a thing that we could find to get a spook out of him. He is the same horse if ridden every day or once a week. Loki is quiet, simple, and extremely comfortable to ride. This horse has a bright future ahead of him and has the foundation to be successful in a number of disciplines.
In the ring, Loki is steady and good minded. He has lovely balanced gaits that are very easy to sit. Loki is a good balance of whoa and go and will never go a step faster than is asked of him. He doesn’t get worked up and will go the same whether he is riding in a frame or on the buckle. He has been a breeze to train and will be a very easy horse to move up the levels, as he gets older, in the dressage ring. We have introduced him to some small fences, and he is brave and easy as ever to get around a small course. We have let the children flat Loki around, both bareback and in lessons, and they have nothing but good things to say about him.
Off property, Loki is calm and brave. He enjoys getting out of the ring and seeing new places and things. We have put kids and guests on him for trail rides, and he behaves like a perfect gentleman for everyone. He will cross water, bridges, roads, and logs. Loki is happy leading or following along, and will hack out alone around the farm.
In the barn, Loki is definitely a favorite. He greatly enjoys attention and being groomed. He will stand in the grooming area with no halter and won’t move a muscle. Sometimes we joke he thinks he’s a person, because he will gladly hang out all day in the crossties and soak up the attention. Loki is mannerly and gentle with people and is the first horse to the gate when you go to his pasture. Loki lives out most of the time, but has no bad habits when stalled either. He lives out in a mixed herd of mares and geldings and is in the middle of the pack.
Under harness, Loki is the same easygoing horse as he is under saddle. He does not have a ton of miles on the road, but is steady and simple to maneuver. He enjoys taking in the sights along the road and is safe both in traffic and around farm equipment.
Loki is a special young horse that we can’t wait to see grow and thrive. He has the best brain and attitude and will easily succeed with his next person.
