He’s built to last, solid but not too tall, making him ideal for riders of all sizes and not intimidating for those who may be nervous. He’s suitable for all levels, has the sweetest, calmest demeanor, and arguably the MOST comfortable canter in the barn. Tyson is naturally a slow, push ride, so he’s definitely not one you’d ever have to worry about running off with you! If he feels his rider becoming unbalanced, he will simply stop. He has the BEST brain. Tyson has been started under harness and rides English, Western, bareback, and even bridleless! He would make a phenomenal addition to any barn looking for a solid, trustworthy citizen.🙌🏻
Tyson is just as gentle on the ground as he is under saddle. Kids and beginners can lead him, get him from the pasture, groom and bathe him, and even tack him up! He’s a slow-moving guy in every way, and we have yet to find anything that unsettles or spooks him! He will literally walk through fire, carry the smoke bombs, canter with tarps and flags, and even dressed up with a sheet and balloons on him for Halloween! He will stand quietly all day long soaking up love and attention, and he gives it right back. He’s a total people person while remaining respectful and maintaining excellent ground manners. He’s the complete package, and if you’re looking for your next amazing family horse or best friend, there won’t be a better one than Tyson!💕
In the arena, Tyson comes out the same horse for every ride – safe, calm, and a complete kick ride. He will happily pick up the pace when asked, and he has the slowest rocking-horse canter you’ll ever feel. He has well-balanced gaits at both the trot and canter, and he will neck rein or direct rein. You can ride him with no reins, on a loose rein, or with contact. He’s well-trained and knows the drill! He moves off leg and will side-pass, leg yield, and spin. The kids and beginners can mosey along all day on a loose rein or learn how to trot and canter on him. He will definitely teach them how to use their leg! He has the BEST stop, whether off a simple “whoa” or your seat. He’s been started over poles and small logs, and he’s doing great! Tyson is incredibly honest in every situation. He’s definitely not winning any races, but if you’re looking for reliable, safe, and easy to get along with, here’s your guy! 🥰
On the trail, Tyson has logged many miles and is well-experienced on all different types of terrain. Whether you want to go for a dip in the water, hit the windy, wooded trails, or canter through the fields, he’s always game! He’s safe to ride solo or in a group, and he tends to take up the rear with his slow-going self. He will bravely lead the others through anything scary, and he won’t feed off other horses’ spooky energy. Tyson is the one who will hold down the group in every situation and has enough brains for everyone combined!
Tyson is traffic-safe and desensitized to tarps, flags, dogs, equipment, smoke, and just about everything else imaginable! He’s a point-and-go ride, no questions asked. He acts the same off-property as he does at home, and he trailers like a dream. He’s the perfect candidate to be that trusty husband or guest horse, or for anyone wanting a truly honest and safe mount! He is just a saint in every aspect, wise beyond his years, and will make someone the BEST lifelong partner. We’ve all fallen in love with Tyson, and his kind are few and far between. He might be the QUIETEST horse we've ever had. We want the very best home for our special boy. He definitely deserves it! 🤩
