“Gracie” - Sold

16.0-1 hands : 7 year old : Perch/Morgan/Friesian : Mare

How beautiful is this girl!? Gracie is a 7 year old, Perch/Morgan/Friesian cross, standing right around 16.0-1 hands high. This mare is a big bodied girl with nice confirmation and a sweet demeanor to match. We want the best home for Gracie and are eager to see what her future brings.

In the ring, Gracie is still considered green but has the most willing attitude and is a fast learner. She will wtc both directions and has a big ground covering stride. Gracie never gets a bad attitude and has no nasty habits. She is sensible and has a good brain on her shoulders, but she is not a complete deadhead. This girl is incredibly smart and knows when she has to pick up and work, or slow it down and give pony rides to the littles- or walk around with a beginner. She will walk around on a loose rein and isn’t going to do more than she’s asked to. She stops on a dime with a simple "whoa" or sitting back and can take a joke.

Under harness Gracie has the most experience, and she is a total gem. She is the quietest mare to drive, and she will go down the road with semi trucks flying by the carriage with no reaction. She has been hitched to different types of equipment and will happily drive single or double. She’ll go off-roading on the dirt roads and go through the scary tunnels with no hesitation. She’s quite the mare.

On the trail, Gracie enjoys being out and is always a guaranteed fun ride. She will go into the water, jump logs, go past the bicycles and dogs, and will lead or follow. We’ve had beginners ride her on the trail with no problem. She’s always gentle and sweet natured. She will go in western or English tack.

Gracie went on hunter pace last weekend, and she held up well with the long ride and many jumps along the way. She’s going to make a very nice fox hunter or solid trail horse to just have fun with. She’s been out XC schooling a handful of times and in spite being green, she was brave, honest, and athletic over all the jumps. She has a lot of potential and with more time will be fantastic.

In the barn, Gracie has good stall manners and is easy to handle. She enjoys being groomed, and she is easy to tack up. She’s well behaved for the farrier and dentist. She stands to get her legs clipped and even her head and ears- with no happy juice needed. She has a cute personality and a funny droopy bottom lip that always makes us laugh. She does have an old superficial scar on her back leg that reflect in her price. If you want a solid, good tempered mare she’s your girl.

Gracie is UTD on shots, deworming, coggins, farrier, and dentist.

She is available to purchase for $12,500.  Located in Gap, Pa
