"Kendrick" - For Sale
16.2 1/2 hands : 6 year old : Dutch Harness : Gelding
Kendrick is flashy 6 year old DHH gelding. This stunning boy stands right around 16.2-3hh. Kendrick has all the markings that catch the eye - with four white socks and a big pretty blaze. Not only is he tall, dark and handsome, he’s got loads of skill to match it.
In the barn, Kendrick is easy to get along with and respectful. He has no bad stall habits and can be turned out with mares and other geldings. He enjoys attention and being groomed, and he picks up all four feet easily. He’s used to dogs running around his legs in the barn and has never been mean. Kendrick is extremely fun to lunge and do groundwork with; he’s a fast learner and has a willing attitude to learn new things. We’ve done lots of tarp and traffic desensitization with him, and he’s been a superstar.
In the ring, Kendrick has shown tons of potential. He has had dressage training the past three years, and has lovely movement. He’s easy to get on the bit and has a big comfortable forward motion. He uses himself properly and always looks like a million bucks. He likes doing new things and can get bored of going in circles, so recently we’ve been doing more jumping than dressage.
Over jumps, Kendrick is always honest and gets his rider safely to the other side. This guy loves to jump and has his ears forward the whole time. He’s been schooled up to 3’6 with us, with all the scope to go higher. He doesn’t get phased by scary jumps and will jump anything you put in front of him. He’s super fun to take through a course and keeps a nice rhythm the whole time. He’s been through various gymnastics and loves a challenge. He generally lands on the correct lead and has a natural change when needed. Kendrick has the cutest knees over jumps and makes big jumps feel small. We believe he would be fantastic in the show ring and would love to see someone bring out the best in him.
On the trail, Kendrick is forward think and easily controllable as he is happy out there. He enjoys going out to see the sights with his buddies. He will cross streams and lead the group into the lake. He’s extremely brave and doesn’t get phased by much. He’ll jump over any fence log or bush in his path without batting an eye. He’s not the super spooky type, but he does have a motor. He's a ton of fun. We all really enjoy him here.
